ENGLANDER SLEEP

Kevin Toman was hired as President/CEO of Englander Sleep in 2005. Englander is owned and operated by four companies. In the past several years, Englander has expanded to 12 domestic manufacturing facilities offering the ability to ship unified product throughout the U.S. The company has also established a world wide footprint with 26 countries marketing & manufacturing the Englander brand.

Toman is a 47-year veteran of the mattress industry. He has held many senior positions within the industry. In 2002 he accepted the position of President/CEO of Restonic Mattress. Toman served from 1992 to 2000 as President/CEO of Serta Mattress Northeast. During his tenure, the company had 80% sales growth and returned to high profitability. Serta Northeast held five licenses and was owned by Silentnight of the U.K. In his position he also served on the Serta Inc. Board of Directors.

Subsequent to the Ohio Mattress acquisition of Sealy licensees, Toman was appointed in 1989 to Corporate as Vice President Sales National Accounts, Contract and New Business Development. He established new channels for Sealy distribution with sales to the membership clubs Costco, Sam’s and Pace.

After working in the marketing department of Standard Oil of California, Kevin entered the bedding industry in 1970. He holds a marketing degree from City University of New York and an MBA from California Western University.

Toman was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy Reserve. He serves as the Chairman of the Board at Loreto House, a nonprofit charity in Denton, Tex. and is a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus. Toman is married with two children and four grandchildren.
