Brooklyn native Craig Schmeizer has two decades of experience leading companies across data-driven verticals. Before co-founding Nectar Sleep in 2016, Schmeizer directed growth marketing and strategy for the consumer credit division of global bank HSBC, and later, international marketing for The New York Life Insurance Company, serving as Corporate Vice President.
He later served as Executive Vice President, Marketing and Strategy for the Credit Card Division at JPMorgan Chase/Washington Mutual, and President of the company’s insurance business. Schmeizer most recently served as SVP & Chief Marketing Officer of XM Sirius’ Connected Vehicle business (acquired 2013). Additionally, his entrepreneurial spirit led him to co-found revolutionary insurance product Home Value Protection, backed by Kleiner Perkins and acquired by global insurer AmTrust in 2012. Schmeizer has completed over 100 consults to capital market firms on subjects around big data, consumer marketing and credit, and has served as co-chair of the Direct Marketing Association’s International Council.
Schmeizer currently resides in the San Francisco Bay Area and enjoys being an avid skier and private pilot.
