The game has changed in the mattress arena, and keynote speaker Eric Boles will help attendees at the Furniture Today Bedding Conference adapt to those changes.
Boles, a former National Football League player, will kick off the Bedding Conference, which is set for a three-day run in May at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point in Bonita Springs, Fla.
“Eric Boles is the perfect speaker to help leading mattress retailers, producers and suppliers understand and successfully adapt to the rapidly changing bedding marketplace,” said David Binke, CEO of King Koil, the Top 15 bedding producer that is sponsoring the keynote address.
“Through his playing days with the New York Jets and the Green Bay Packers in the NFL, Eric knows the importance of planning, execution and effort in finding success on the field, and he has brought that skill set to his business career,” Binke continued. “His company, The Game Changers, has helped businesses around the world enhance their culture and boost their performance in the face of challenging times.”
The theme of the Bedding Conference is: “Who Moved My Paradigm? Navigating a disrupted marketplace.”
Boles, the founder and president of The Game Changers, has worked with leading brands, including Starbucks, Verizon Wireless, Dunkin Donuts, Boeing, Microsoft, the U.S. Air Force, and the U.S. Army Rangers, among others.
The Furniture Today Bedding Conference features a full slate of speakers who will cover issues facing the industry, including the rise of e-commerce, the growing importance of digital media at retail, the emergence of new types of mattress shoppers, and key drivers in the mattress shopping experience.
The conference begins on May 8 with golf, registration and a networking cocktail event. Educational sessions will be held throughout the day on May 9, with a gala awards dinner following that night. The conference ends with a morning of educational sessions on May 10.
The Game Changers is a training and consulting company whose Leadership, Team and Personal development processes are used by some of the most recognized and successful companies in the world and have helped shape over a half a million successful leaders, managers and employees, Binke noted.
He said that Boles used the skills he honed in the NFL in teamwork, leadership and personal development, and applied them to a broader application in team dynamics, leadership and peak performance in the world of business.
“We are looking forward to Eric’s dynamic presentation at the Bedding Conference,” Binke said. “At King Koil, we are embracing these times of change by implementing a new business strategy for our brand, and we’ll be talking about those exciting changes at the Bedding Conference.”
